why are these color movies of Roy Rogers not being restored for the public to buy they are great movies to watch i bought some Roy Rogers movies it said in true color but they are in black & white why cant they restore all of his color movies.

So sorry that you didn’t get what you thought you were buying. Tru Color wasn’t really “true color.” It didn’t have green, although almost everyone thought they were seeing green trees. I wish that Paramount, who still had physical possession of the old Republic Studios film (although it is stored in the UCLA storage facility), would at least do digital preservation prints of the movies. I realize that it is very expensive to restore 35mm film but it would be great if they were to at least preserve what they have.

I have 75 roy rogers movies.I would like to know how many he made and if I could get a list.
I think he was the best singing cowboy and I think he was a very great guy.I wished I could have met him and dale.

Dad made 83 Roy Rogers movies. You probably have all that are available. My understanding is that several of his movies have deteriorated to the point that copies could not be made.
